It’s nearly 3am – and I am a small bit tired but I can happilly forgo sleep tonight in favour of walking up to Ally Pally to hopefully catch a sunrise and take a few photos.
Sunrise is 04:44 so I’ll leave the flat at about 04:30 – bit before hopefully – and make my way through the light rain and cool weather. After Ally Pally, where next? Who knows, who knows… maybe off to the city to grab food and coffee. MP3 player charging. A new book is to be selected from the shelves – just finished Margeret Atwood’s “Cat’s Eye” which was excellant if depressing. What to read next? Hmmm. Thomas Pynchoon? John Irving? Ah no, I must pick up “The Age of American Unreason” once more – it was started months ago and then placed just out of reach behind the ironing board and towers of CDs and it wasn’t really what you would call a page turner…
Although there’s always “Welcome to Mars” a look at Fantasies of Science in the American Century 1947-1959 – that got mislaid but has turned up again as I type – so that will do nicely.
Will I catch a sunrise or will North London be covered in grey rainy clouds robbing me of any decent photos? Will I change my mind and try to sleep? What a cliff-hanger. Stay tuned people, stay tuned…
